When I started blogging, I did it because I had stories/moments in my head that I wanted to get out and put them somewhere so I wouldn’t forget them. Sure, putting them into a journal or what have you would have also worked but I tend to do my best writing on the fly and I can’t always haul a journal around.
So I got my thoughts out and left. That was it. 2 posts in and I was done. I paid for my domain and everything and I just left it. So many things have happened and I let those opportunities to create content pass me.
👉🏼 1 year anniversary as a SAHM
👉🏼 2 year cookie anniversary
👉🏼 2 year Instagram cookie page anniversary
👉🏼 ISLA’S BIRTHDAY!
So many things! So many gone opportunities. Well, I’m here to say that my word for the year (a little late, I KNOW) is intentional.
I go through my day flying by the seat of my pants and rush rush rushing. For what? Why am I in such a big damn hurry? I DON’T KNOW!
So, I have decided to be intentional with my time and what I do. As a 30 year old adult woman, excuses for not being dressed, styled, and productive should be gone. I have already taken strides towards better time management regarding my cookie bizz and I can see a difference! I intend (see what I did there??) on using that momentum in all the aspects of my life.
Did you know there are YouTube videos of women vloggers cleaning their house at night?? What is this??? I must have watched 3 of those videos before the switch in my head went off. If these ladies can pick up their house and have a clean home when they go to sleep, so can I. I must be intentional. So guess what I did. I cleaned the living room and kitchen before bed! Woo! I also folded laundry, ironed Tinos work uniform, made Islas lunch, and took a shower. Who is this person?!
So, I’m putting this out there for God and everybody to see. Hold me to it. Ask me how it’s going. A list of things I plan on intentionally doing. Things I want to try to accomplish every single day. Whatever you want to call it… my list.
Let’s do this.
- Wake up early everyday (between 7-8:30 AM)
- Make up the bed
- Get ready for the day (hair, makeup, clothes)
- Get Isla ready
- Empty the car every night
- 30 minutes – 1 hour of cleaning up at night
- Pick up house mid-day
- Cook dinner
- Blog once at least once week
I’m going to stop there for now. They say it 30 days to start a habit. I’ll touch back on this in 30 days and report how everything is going.
As for me right at this moment, I’m going to sleep. (Lets go ahead and add “Get more sleep” to the list) Tomorrow morning will be busy and I need to be on my game.
Goodnight everyone ✌🏼
